Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BlueGate Travel ("we", "us") collects on bluegate-travel.com and in the BlueGate Travel Android app (which shows this same website), how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: info@bluegate-travel.com.

Information you give us

Trip request form: your name, phone number, email address, destination, travel dates (or flexible dates), number of adults and kids, budget range, trip style, special needs and any notes you type.
Account (optional): your name, email address, phone number (if you add it) and a password. We store only a secure hash of your password, never the password itself. If you choose "Sign in with Google", we receive your name, email address and Google account ID from Google.
Saved trips and documents: sample trips you save to your account, and trip documents (such as itineraries or confirmations) we add to your account for you.
Emails you send us: anything you write to us by email.

Information collected automatically

Page visits: when you open a page we record the page address, the time, the site that referred you, your browser and device type (user agent), language, time zone, and an approximate location (city, region, country) and network name derived from your connection. We do not store your IP address in our visit records.
Visit counter: anonymous page-view and visitor totals are counted with a simple third-party counter (abacus.jasoncameron.dev); it receives the page-view request, but no name, email or other details you give us.
Cookies and local storage: a sign-in cookie if you log in, and a small "already visited" marker so we don't count you twice. We do not use advertising cookies and do not show ads.

How we use it

To research and send you trip options, answer your questions and, when you ask us to, make bookings.
To run your account, show your saved trips and documents, and reset your password.
To understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful, and to protect the site against abuse and automated traffic.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for third-party advertising.

When we share information

Travel suppliers: only when you ask us to book, we share the details needed for that booking (for example traveler names and dates) with the hotel, cruise line, airline, tour operator or our host travel agency partner.
Service providers: our website and email are hosted by infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare) who process data on our behalf. Google provides the optional "Sign in with Google".
Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect our rights and our customers.

Security and retention

All traffic to the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Account passwords are stored hashed. We keep trip requests and account data while your account is open or as long as needed to serve you and meet legal obligations; visit records are kept for site statistics and may be deleted at any time.

Delete your account and data

You can delete your account yourself at any time: sign in, open My account, choose "Delete my account" and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, saved trips, trip requests and documents stored on the site. You can also email info@bluegate-travel.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data; we will confirm within 30 days. Copies of emails we exchanged and records a supplier needs for an existing booking may be kept where the law requires.

Children

The site and app are meant for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Details about children traveling (such as the number of kids) are given by their parent or guardian.

Your choices

You can use most of the site without an account. You can view and update your profile in My account, ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it by emailing info@bluegate-travel.com.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
